Once in the tomb, it was believed that the akh began its journey to the hall of judgement. There it was judged against a list of 42 crimes. The more crimes the dead person admitted to, the heavier the heart. If it passed the test, it went with Osiris to live in the fields of Yalu, a place like Egypt though more beautiful.
