Middle Kingdom
King Mentuhotep reunited the country. During this time the civil service became stronger, taking over control from the nomarchs. For the people of the Middle Kingdom, they valued fairness and justice the most. They also believed that, thanks to Osiris ( god of the Underworld), everyone could share the afterlife. People had themselves mummified if they could afford it also.
