The official palace of stone contained the palace storerooms, harem, and huge reception rooms where he carried out his daily duties. The columns of the halls were inlaid with green, blue, and red glazes and gold. Against the walls stood statues. The floor was covered with wet plaster on which plants and birds were painted. The private rooms of the king and his wife were an entrance room,living room, private chapel, dressing room, and bathroom.
