Egyptian doctors trained in many temple medical schools, which were the best in the world. They traveled all over the Near East to foreign royalty. Egyptians often would put a piece of raw meat over a stiched wound. Then the patient would remove the meat the next day and apply grease and honey to the wound. A child was made to swallow a dead mouse as a way of curing a bad cough.
