The Knabenschiessen
Festival has been around since the 17th century. Its located in Zurich
during the month of September. The main attraction at the festival is
shooting contests. Young boys and girls learn how to shoot guns, then
later compete in contests. Prizes are supplied from companies around
Switzerland, and the winners of the contests get crowned king and
queen.
Along with the shooting contests, there is also a huge carnival with
rides, games, and entertainment. The festival has been a local
tradition
for the people of Switzerland for a long time, and will be for years to
come.
