Adulthood
James Naismith graduated college in1887. He married
Maude E. Sherman. James and Maude had five children. Their names are
Margret Mason(1895), Helen Carolyn(1897), John Edwin(1900), Maude
Ann(1904) and James Sherman(1913). He died November 28, 1939. When
James
Naismith died he was 78 years old. Together with Gulick they published
the rules in "American
Sports Publishing Company." His wife Maude dies.On March 3rd he becomes
a professor at Kansas. James Naismith retired at age 76. He died
November 28.When he died it was 22 after his birthday. When he died he
was 78 years old.
