Day 2 - Tour Madrid
Breakfast the next morning was warm milk (add chocolate), a rusk, and a croissant with jelly. (That was the breakfast for the next 9 days)

Using a tour bus, we visited Don Quote's statue (group picture), then on to a structure donated to Spain by Egypt (Plaza de Espania). From this park we could see the Palace, Palacio Real. Pretty classy place, reminded me of home -- old dusty painting, cracked plaster, etc.

The Palacio Real. Gathering at the gate. The court yard. Toys for the kids.(these toys are larger than my dog house) Paintings and gold on the ceilings.

The Meseo Del Prado: Lots and lots of paintings. Oh, did I mention that there were lots of paintings. And some marble statues also (I'd hate to be some of those guys!) Interest and excitement was very high - right girls!!

With all of the walking, it was time to take a break: We found a nice place for a cool drink. The girls living it up. Duh!, We're cool too.

Another power walk to the supper from hell. Although it looks like our guide is doing a broadway play, she is actually preparing us for the house specialty - cold soup (gespatcho)- fly came at no extra charge and pesteso- yuk. The entire group is listening carefully on what to expect for supper. Wow, what a meal. It actually knocked one of us off our chair!
