Instructor Bios and Professional Web Pages

Norval Nissen graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Art Education from NWMSU in Maryville,Missouri. He has been with CCSD since 1983. Prior to coming to Carroll he taught K-12 art for 8 years at New Market,Iowa. His areas in the visual arts department are pottery, sculpture, jewelry, and Art 1.

Galen Patrick joined the Carroll School District in 2003. He teaches all drawing, painting, photography, and fibers classes at Carroll High School. He also teaches 6th and 7th grade exploratory art at Carroll Middle School. Mr. Patrick has a BA degree from Iowa State University and previously taught art at Prairie Valley Schools.
