China is filled with many different types of animals. The Giant Panda only found in China. It is an endangered species. About 240 Giant Pandas are captured from the wild for research, reproduction, and exhibition. Only about 100 of those 240 pandas survive. Another type of animal is the South Chinese Tiger. The Shanghai Zoological Park began to raise the tiger since 1959. Chinese Association of Zoological Garden is trying to increase reproduction. The Chinese Alligator is an endemic species of China. It is increased a lot this year. A Takin is also an endemic species and it is one of the rarest and most endangered animals in the world. Some other animals in Chinese is: Golden Lion Tamarin, Snow Leopard, Parrot, Peacocks, Dolphins, Storks, and Yaks.
