Shelby and I made a web page on Austria. We decided to do this country
because not many people know a lot about it. For example the Sound of Music took place
there. Also Arnold Schwarzenegger was born there. Austria has also had
a interesting history. We plan to help you learn about this country and

Austria includes much of the mountainous territory of the eastern Alps. They have many snow fields, glaciers, and snowcapped peaks, the highest being the Grossglockner. The Danube is the principal river. Forests and woodlands cover about 40% of the land. The government type is Federal Republic. Parliament passed a law in June 2007 that the voting age is 16. The President is Heinz Fischer.
