Making a Search

  • Look at your records in List View. --Under Layout Menu--List
  • Decide which field you are going to use in your search. Sort this field in ascending or descending order. (organize menu-sort records) If a multiple field search, choose the main field to sort.
  • Decide what your search criteria will be. --examples:
    • number search: >500
      word search: Republican
  • Go to the "Search" icon and choose "New Search".
  • Title your search. Be descriptive, example: "Reptiles with no legs"
  • Plug in the criteria for your search. Select the appropriate field or fields and plug in information.

To view search go back to "Search" icon and choose the search. If the search did not work you can go to "Search" icon and choose "Edit Search" and try to fix it.
