Hey, I'm preparing for my trip to the great Alpine Mountains on the western border of Italy. There are many things to do on the Alpine Mountains. The Alpines are apparently often called the Alps. Some of the things you can do at the Alpines is to ski. Backpacking or hiking is another activity that you can do on the Alpine Mountains. You can also snow board if you'd like. I just arrived at one of the ski resorts and I am about to go out onto the mountains. I will be skiing, because I like to ski a lot. The mountain I will be going on is called Mount Blanc. It is the tallest point of the Alpine Mountains. I am currently traveling toward the top of the highest point of the mountain, which is approximately 15,781 feet. Oooo boy this is highhh up. This is a fantastic view of the mountains, Italy and the Adriac Sea. I am now  going down slowly, because it is extremely steep. I am now at approximately 9,000 feet. This is the point where I am allowed to start really skiing. Wow im going faassttt. I am now at around 6,000 feet, where I am taking a little break. I can see the rock wren, it is a very colorful bird and it happens to be the only mountain parrot. Well I am heading back down I’ll report to you at the next stop. I am now at 3,000 feet. I can see some shrubs now, before it was more of just rock and snow. I am going to the bottom. Well, now I can say I went all the way down the Alpines. I saw some snow boarders and other skiers, but not any hikers this time. There was trees on the mountain, but not until below about 1,900 meters. That ends my report on the Alpine Mountains of Italy.
