As District Technology Coordinator, my responsibilities include:
Developing a budget that includes purchasing of new or replacement computers, networking hardware and software. The past several years the technology budget was approximately $118,000/year.

Working with administrators and staff on technology grants. Sources of income include Title III, the Carl Perkins Grant, and the Star Schools grants.

Working with community parteners such as Hy Vee, American Home Shield, and the Social Security Office and private individual donations. These resources have been successfull in aquiring over 40 computers for the district.

Working with the AEA on purchasing software in 'quantity' in order to save on cost.

Working with hardware and software vendors on recieving the 'best' pricing for our district.
