Some of my Better Pictures

I have always enjoyed photography and as a hobby, photography works well with my other idea of enjoyment - travel. I have scanned a few of my better photos. So, if you have a decent connection you can take a look at my work. Use your "Back" button to return to this page. All pictures are less than 30K and are in jpeg format.

The first photo is of Delicate Arch at Arches National Park. I got lucky and caught the moon just over the top of the arch. Delicate Arch 15K

This set of photos were taken on the ski slope in the Grand Teton National Park. In this photo, you can see how the clouds get caught in the "hole" and the surrounding mountains reach above the clouds. Clouds 23K This chair lift looks like it sets on the edge of the world. Chair Lift 30K I wish we were as good at this as the photo seems to indicate. However, the "jump" was only about two feet. Sorry Bruce. Jump 29K.

On a scuba trip to the Great Lake, I spent part of a day visiting the area parks. This photo is of "Pictured Rocks". 30K

I really enjoy using natural light to create shadows and mood. This photo was taken in the early evening in the BWCA. Lake 38K The lodge at Old Faithful creates a nice backdrop for a stark, cold photo. Lodge 24K. Another photo from the Old Faithful area late in the day. Snow 17K This is a photo of the "Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone". Great colors. Grand Canyon of Yellowstone 41K.

A long hike up the canyon wall on the Green River in Utah gave me access to this photo of "Steamboat Rock". 39K.

The 2nd week ing July of 2000. Odd cloud formations started developing overhead. Awesome colors and shapes but no rain.
