Dr. Ray Meylor asked me to join him 4 wheeling on his Loess Hills property. For more information on the glacial area known as the Loess Hills, click here. This is rugged country and great for 4 wheeling. I've attached a few photos from the excursion, hope you enjoy them.
Our host, Ray, shows us how to balance the machine - yea right. Here, Ray explains the operation of the machine to Buck and Judy. As we travel through the brush, Ray stops and explains how the brush provides cover for wild life - and scratches for those that drive through it. Jake is trying to get this new machine dirty but finds that some of the dirt gets in strange places. Actually, Jake looks like this most of the time. Most of the riding was in very rugged terrain, along the side of a creek or in a small muddy creek. Here, one wimp finds it best to walk it down the hill while Jake braves the steep decent. I know I was riding one a minute ago!! - right Nick.
The trails in and out of the canyons were steep at times and of the mud was kind of deep in place. But that added to the fun. My machine even bucked my off trying to climb out of the canyon.
