flows from the Alps on Italy's western border to the Adriatic
Sea. Some large islands form a part of Italy. The largest are Sicily
(9,926 sq mi) and Sardinia (9,301 sq mi). The capital of Italy is the
interesting city of Rome. Italians are mostly Roman
Catholic with some Protestant, Jewish and a growing Muslim immigrant
population. Italy has about 58,057,477 people. Italian is the official
