Ireland is a small independent country in northwestern Europe.
The countries official name is Ireland. Dublin is Ireland's capital
and largest city. It is slightly larger than West Virginia.
It has 1,448 km of coastline. It has a temperate maritime Climate; modified
by North Atlantic Current; mild winters, cool summers;
a lot of the time humid; overcastted about half the time.
Land is mostly level to, but they are known for having the
rugged hills and low mountains; sea cliffs on west coast.
Its current environmental issue is water pollution. Its population is 4,109,086 people.
Its religions are: Roman Catholic 88.4%, Church of Ireland 3%,
other Christian 1.6%, other 1.5%, people without a specific religion 2%, and none 3.5%. 
Its ethnic groups are Celtic and English. English is the official language
commonly used.
Its government is Republic and
Parliamentary Democracy. Ireland gained its independence on December 6, 1921.
Its national holiday is Saint Patrick's Day, on March 17th. It's natural resources
are natural gas, peat, copper, lead, zinc, silver, barite, gypsum, limestone, dolomite.

Ireland is known for celebrating St. Patrick's Day. Unlike many families in the
United States Ireland really celebrates St. Patrick's Day. Leprechauns are
known for St. Patrick's Day because you have the luck of the irish.
